Although this website is pretty self-explanatory and hopefully easy to navigate, we wanted to explain why we created it.  We are about to graduate from Princeton Day School, and part of our graduation requirement was a senior project.  The requirements are strict, but loose enough that we had the freedom to choose a project that was interesting to us and also beneficial to others.  We are both headed out of state for college and wanted to learn about and experience New Jersey the best way possible one last time.  We went on trips to almost all of the places profiled on this website, experiencing first hand everything.  Sure, some of our write-ups are subjective, but we think we have a good feel for the senior-in-high-school through college-freshman age group, which was our target audience.  We hope that places like Princeton University and maybe Rutgers University too will use our website to give students options of day trips around the state, so that everyone can appreciate what makes New Jersey unique and why we’re proud of our state.

Surprisingly, our favorite part of this project wasn’t going on day trips.  It was talking to friends and family members about our project and listening to everyone’s suggestions.  Everyone has their favorite beach, favorite museum, favorite pizza place.  This is exactly what we love about New Jersey: that everyone discovers things and places they love and are proud of.

We hope you enjoy the website and are able to experience some of what we consider the highlights of the state!
